We are passionate about padel and want to offer solutions in helping it grow.
adel is the fastest growing sport in the world, and it is about time it came to our great sporting nation. We are padel enthusiasts that want to help get this sport up and running in South Africa, therefore when we found out that there was no one making or installing padel courts we decided to take action. We know the South African public will love it as much as us, and the rest of the world.
With backgrounds that range from sports management to a manufacturing factory of metal works, we feel as we have all our bases covered in the building and installing of padel courts for the public. What? When? Why?
Padel is a a racket sport that combines the elements of tennis and squash into one game. It’s played by 4 people (2 vs 2) on a court roughly half the size of a tennis court (10m x 20m) that is surrounded by walls.
The scoring system is exactly the same as tennis, with the only the difference being the walls and the underhand serve. This take emphasis away from the difficulty of not only serving but returning, with more time being spent in the actual rally.
It was started in Mexico in 1969, and it soon found its way over to Europe, where it has exploded!
In Spain, who has such a rich sporting history, it has gone on to become Spain’s 2nd most popular sport after football. Because of its success in there it has rapidly started to spread across Europe over the last 10 years, and more recently, across the globe.
Padel is often titled the fastest growing sport in the world, and there is a strong push for it to be included in the olympics.

A padel court is 10m x 20m and is roughly about 1/3 the size of a tennis court if laid width ways. They sit at their highest point at 4m and have a back wall made of 12mm thick glass.
Although padel is spread all across the world, South Africa has been slow to jump on the bandwagon. Currently there are no public courts or clubs, however this is due to change very soon. Stay tuned!
